Altair Chemical, part of Esseco Industrial — Esseco Group’s industrial holding — is the Italian player for organic and inorganic chemical manufacturing. The company specializes in the production and marketing of potassium and sodium chloride electrolysis derivatives, hydrochloric acid, and organic chlorine derivatives (chlorinated aromatics, or CLAR).

Established in 2024 from the merger of two industrial entities operating in Saline di Volterra (Tuscany) and Pieve Vergonte (Piedmont), the company combines the expertise and production capabilities of both sites to create a leading chemical manufacturing hub. With a strong focus on innovation, Altair Chemical is committed to combining environmental, economic, and social sustainability, consolidating its position in the market.
