We are proud to announce that EcoVadis has awarded Altair Chemical Srl the Gold Medal,…

Altair Chemical took part in the 12th Euro Chlor International Conference, held in Barcelona — a key event for the entire chlor-alkali sector, bringing together companies, experts and institutions to discuss the future of an industry playing a central role in the transition to climate neutrality.
Key topics on the agenda included:
Green hydrogen – a crucial energy carrier for decarbonization, both as a by-product of the chlor-alkali value chain and as an output of water electrolysis. New technologies for production, storage and liquefaction were at the heart of the discussions.
Sustainability technologies – advancements in electrodes, membranes, and concentration systems aimed at reducing energy consumption, optimizing efficiency, and cutting CO₂ emissions.
Safety and environmental management – best practices in process operations, transport and plant management to protect workers, local communities and the environment.
Circular economy – strategies to recover by-products, extract critical materials and reduce industrial waste.
Policy and competitiveness – a debate on the European regulatory framework, the balance between decarbonization and industrial resilience, and the importance of collaboration between businesses, research institutions and public authorities.
These are challenges we’ve long embraced. At Altair Chemical, we work every day to enable a concrete, efficient and sustainable energy transition across all our sites.
