Corporate Policy

Altair Chemical pursues a corporate policy focused on sustainability, innovation, and safety. Aligned with Esseco Industrial’s goals, the company is committed to reducing its environmental impact through investments in renewable energy and circular economy projects.

Product quality and safety are guaranteed by strict certified standards, while safeguarding workers’ health and well-being remains a top priority. An ESG approach guides the company’s strategies, promoting inclusion, transparency, and social responsibility to support sustainable and competitive growth in the global market.

Both production sites must abide by the provisions of Italian Legislative Decree No. 105/2015 and are therefore required to implement a Safety Management System for Major Accident Prevention  (HSMS-MAPP, in Italian SGS-PIR), in accordance with the implementation guidelines attached to the aforementioned Decree.

Organization, Management and Control Model

In compliance with Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, the company has adopted an Organization, Management and Control Model, reinforcing its commitment to business integrity and risk prevention. The Model defines protocols and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance, process transparency, and safety in company operations.

The functions of Ethics Officer and monitoring of the 231 Model are vested in Altair Chemical’s Supervisory Body, appointed on 18/10/2024.

The Model also includes disciplinary measures, ongoing training, and periodic updates to ensure effective risk management and compliance with ESG principles.

Code of Ethics

To align corporate procedures and ensure honesty, integrity, and fairness, Altair Chemical — as part of the Esseco Group’s industrial holding — has adopted a Code of Ethics that sets out rules of conduct for both employees and business partners.

The Code defines obligations regarding transparency, fairness, and fair competition in business dealings, prohibits corruption and unfair practices, and promotes occupational health and safety, and environmental protection. It also establishes policies for handling confidential information, combating money laundering, and safeguarding privacy.

Altair Chemical is committed to regulatory compliance and the enforcement of ethical standards, whose monitoring is vested in a Supervisory Body.

Supplier Code of Conduct

As part of the Esseco Group’s industrial holding, Altair Chemical complies with the Group’s Supplier Code of Conduct, which outlines the standards and expectations for all suppliers of goods and services.

Core principles are based on environmental sustainability, social accountability, and ethical governance (ESG). Suppliers are required to minimise their environmental impact, reduce emissions, and comply with environmental protection regulations. As for their social accountability, they shall ensure equal opportunities, prevent discrimination, guarantee occupational health and safety, and prohibit forced and child labour. Within the scope of governance, respect for human rights, anti-corruption practices, and compliance with international laws are essential.

Compliance with the Code is monitored through audits and periodic assessments, with a continuous improvement plan to ensure abidance by the required ethical and sustainability principles.
