Its founding members include <span class=\"s1\"><b>EPQ<\/b><\/span> and <span class=\"s1\"><b>Dolomiti Energia Trading<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The <span class=\"s1\"><b>Renewability model<\/b><\/span> brings industrial companies together within a consortium company whose purpose is to invest in the construction of renewable energy plants and supply each member with electricity produced by those plants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Altair Chemical&#8217;s strategic decision to join the initiative was driven by the intention to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Increase the sustainability of its operations by expanding the share of electricity demand met by green energy;<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Contribute to the development of new renewable energy resources in Italy, enabled by a long-term (30-year) investment horizon;<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Reduce reliance on the electricity market, which is currently marked by extreme volatility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Thanks to this innovative model, Altair Chemical becomes a <span class=\"s1\"><b>PROSUMER<\/b><\/span> \u2014 both an energy producer and consumer<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2014 allowing the company to secure a portion of its electricity needs independently from the market. By covering only the industrial costs of the initiative, Altair Chemical benefits from a <span class=\"s1\"><b>renewable electricity cost below \u20ac60\/MWh<\/b><\/span> over the entire useful life of the plants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As part of the Renewability project, the company has invested <span class=\"s1\"><b>\u20ac10 million<\/b><\/span> in the construction of the first cluster of renewable energy plants located in <span class=\"s1\"><b>Lazio and Abruzzo<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The first cluster \u2014 <span class=\"s1\"><b>24 MW of photovoltaic capacity<\/b><\/span> \u2014 was built by <span class=\"s1\"><b>Marseglia Amaranto Green S.r.l.<\/b><\/span>, which will also manage the maintenance of the plants throughout their operational lifetime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alongside Altair Chemical, two other leading Italian industrial companies have joined the initiative:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">a major steel group and European leader in the merchant bar segment<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">a leading company in the chemical\u2013pharmaceutical sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Altair Chemical thus becomes the owner of <span class=\"s1\"><b>one-third of the electricity produced<\/b><\/span>, securing approximately <span class=\"s1\"><b>12,000 MWh\/year<\/b><\/span> of renewable energy in its portfolio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">By joining Renewability, the company actively contributes to the growth of renewable energy in Italy while also strengthening its own energy independence.
