This strategic and sustainable project was carried out as part of the remediation and regulatory compliance program initiated with the Tuscany Region.<\/p>\n<p>With an <strong>investment of \u20ac4 million<\/strong>, the new TAS replaces the previous plant with advanced technological solutions and a <strong>focus on water recovery and reuse<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Separate and dedicated treatment of acidic, sodium-based, and potassium-based effluents.<\/li>\n<li>Ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis systems to produce high-quality treated water, reusable in internal processes.<\/li>\n<li>Integration with the electrolysis unit for the recovery of NaCl and KCl brines.<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of incoming wastewater through new covers and the internal reuse of washing water.<\/li>\n<li>Operational continuity ensured by reusing selected equipment from the old TAS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This achievement reinforces Altair Chemical\u2019s commitment to <strong>environmental protection<\/strong> and plant innovation, ensuring more <strong>efficient, safer, and more sustainable<\/strong> management of industrial water resources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Altair Chemical has launched its new Wastewater Treatment Plant (TAS) at the Saline di Volterra site.
