The upgraded plant features a <strong>high-efficiency gas turbine<\/strong> supplied by one of the world\u2019s leading manufacturers. It offers <strong>optimized electrical output<\/strong> and includes a heat recovery system to produce steam and hot water.<\/p>\n<p>All of the energy generated is used internally at the Saline site, contributing to lower emissions and greater energy independence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A strategic investment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After <strong>12 years of operation<\/strong>, the cogeneration system underwent a major upgrade to ensure ongoing efficiency and reliability. The revamp included:<br \/>\n<strong>The replacement of the electric generator<\/strong>, enhancing system stability and reliability<br \/>\n<strong>The renewal of the heat recovery system<\/strong>, resulting in an approximate <strong>10% increase<\/strong> in steam production<br \/>\n<strong>Consumption optimization<\/strong>: improved energy recovery has led to a reduction of <strong>250,000 standard cubic meters of methane<\/strong>, decreasing reliance on dedicated boilers<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Efficiency and environmental impact reduction<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With this project, Altair Chemical strengthens its commitment to <strong>energy transition<\/strong> and reducing the environmental footprint of its production processes.
