New hydrogen compressor for the Pieve Vergonte plant: energy efficiency, sustainability and safety

We have recently completed the installation of a new hydrogen compressor at our Pieve Vergonte (VB) facility. This €360,000 strategic investment combines technological innovation, environmental responsibility, and improved working conditions.

Compared to the previous system, the new compressor enables an estimated annual energy saving of around 40 MWh—the equivalent of the average yearly consumption of about 15 households. A concrete step toward greater efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

The initiative is fully aligned with the ESG goals promoted by the entire Esseco Industrial division and represents another step forward in building a chemical industry that is increasingly responsible, efficient, and innovation-driven.
